Starting Tuesday, we would like to ask all willing PLUG members to
announce the installfest in their technology-based classes. Here is a
link to the image if anyone would like to print a transparency:

Be sure to mention the date, time, and location:
Saturday, Sep 28, in CL50 from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Be sure also to mention it is free, help for installation available,
installation media available at a small fee for non-members. Check the
website, http://plug.purdue.org for more info, and to register for help
or transportation. Free food will be available first-come-first-serve
courtesy of careersINsite. Thanks for your help, hope to see you there.

If you need transportation, we will try to get someone in contact with you that can help you out.
Thanks,

Installfest is one of PLUG's largest events in the course of the year. It
provides a place where people can come and bring their computers and get
help with installing or configuring Linux or *BSD on their computers. PLUG
provides network infrastructure, (some) installation media, and food for the
event. We also try to help people arrange transportation to and from the
event by letting them "register" at the website (http://plug.purdue.org).
Also, if you have a large vehicle and would like to volunteer to help move
people to and from installfest, post to the officers list
(plug-officers-OI/Ktz7ikNJLEhcy4P/***@public.gmane.org).

Like all other PLUG events, Installfest is free of charge.

Hope that helps clear it up.
